Although the chlorinator is now working properly and chlorine levels are within range, VCH requires samples that pass their tests before we can lift the Advisory. Samples will be taken tomorrow so we should have the all clear this weekend.

Van Anda Water System has had a temporary chlorination failure and chlorine levels in the tank are lower than recommended. The problem has been fixed and chlorine levels are expected to be back in the correct range by tomorrow morning. Please help spread the message and notify your neighbors.
Van Anda Improvement District has issued a WATER QUALITY ADVISORY
The Environmental Health Officer has recommended a water quality advisory for within the Van Anda Improvement District. This is not a Boil Water Notice.
Those with health concerns may wish to follow the guidelines of the Boil Water Notice, which state that water should be boiled for two minutes prior to consumption.
All residents are requested to notify their immediate neighbours who may be unaware of the water quality advisory, especially those with health concerns.

Test results received today from Vancouver Coastal Health show that the water is safe.
Samples were collected June 21 as a precautionary measure after firefighting activity.
