After Friday’s intense firefighting, VAID called a Water Quality Advisory. There is a possibility that after heavy use on the water system, water may not be safe to drink. Extra chlorine is added as a preventative, but we will not know for sure until test results are confirmed by VCH. We advise boiling water for at least a minute before consumption, especially for those with health issues.

Test results from water samples taken Mar 2 are back and show the water is clean. The advisory was put in place as a precautionary measure after fire fighting on the night of Feb 28/Mar 1, when there was a high volume of water moving through the system.
