Van Anda is an active community situated on Texada Island, the largest of BC’s Gulf Islands. The community consists of stores, a hotel, a Legion, a Post Office, a Boat Club, gas station and marinas and an Elementary School (with the Island also having a medical center, airport, library, and community center) and is home to about 375 people who enjoy the local parks and the marine and forest environments. We have recently installed (2020) a new water treatment system, consisting of filtration, ion exchange, UV treatment and chlorination, a new water storage tank, and are making upgrades to our water distribution system.
