STAGE 3 WATER RESTRICTIONS ARE NOW IN EFFECT

VAN ANDA IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WATER CONSERVATION BYLAW

Water hoses must be equipped with a handheld automatic shut-off nozzle.

STAGE 3 Restrictions:

  • NO LAWN WATERING
  • OTHER WATERING – hand watering and sprinklers for trees, shrubs, flowers, & vegetables – max one hour, only between 8 pm and 8 am
  • NO VEHICLE & BOAT WASHING
  • NO OUTSIDE SURFACE WASHING
  • NO FILLING POOLS

Use of micro-irrigation or drip irrigation systems to water trees, shrubs, flowers, and vegetables is allowed on any day, at any time, as required

More information is available on the Water Conservation Bylaw page.

Due to high water use, Stage 3 Restrictions are now in place. Water production is nearing the maximum daily capacity of the Water Treatment Plant. Please decrease water usage as much as possible to ensure we have sufficient water in the storage tank for fire protection.

Our water source, Priest Lake, has lots of water; it’s our ability to treat sufficient water for fire protection and consumption that is an issue.

Leak detection is continuing. Please contact us if you are aware of any signs of leaks (wet areas, lush growth, or sound of water running), or have concerns about how water is being used.
