Development Costs
- Capital Expenditure Charge:
All development—including single family homes—is subject to this fee. See details in the Bylaws page. - Upgrades for new development:
If your project increases water demand and mains need upgrading, you’ll pay for the upgrades. If an engineer’s report is needed, you’ll cover that cost too.
🏡 Important Considerations
Is There Existing Water Service?
- If the property is undeveloped or unoccupied, expect extra costs to set up water service.
Is Your Property in the District?
- If your property isn’t within the District boundaries, you won’t have access to water service or fire protection.
- Our boundaries are irregular—please double-check your property’s inclusion before purchasing.
Outside the District?
- You can appeal to have the boundaries amended to include your property.
- This process takes time and may involve extra costs to connect to the water system.
